History
University Silkscreen humbly began in 1987 on Campus Corner in Norman, Oklahoma.
The Ozmun family founded the company as an extension of their retail store, Balfour. Balfour began as a source of University of Oklahoma apparel and t-shirts for the Greek system. University Silkscreen is proud to say that Balfour still remains one of our longest-running customers.
In August of 2000, Chris and Stephanie Griffith purchased University Silkscreen from the Ozmuns. With the purchase of the company came a 4000-square-foot building located at 739 Asp Avenue on Campus Corner. The production equipment at that time consisted of one small manual press and a single automatic press. In 2003, we added a 12-head embroidery machine to better serve the company's small, local customer base.
Over the years, the production needs grew and in 2019, we added two more buildings to house the growing staff and accommodate four automatic press lines and four multi-head embroidery machines.
Currently, University Silkscreen produces thousands of printed and embroidered items on a weekly basis as well as a wide variety of promotional products. As a result of hard-working, skilled and loyal team members, University Silkscreen continues to expand its footprint by offering quality products to customers within the state of Oklahoma as well as all across the country.
